Queer-Affirming Counselling for

Identity, Polyamory & Kink
In Hertfordshire & Online Across the UK

 I CURRENTLY HAVE LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

Please get in touch to find out more.

I’m Kevyn Hopkins-Hall, a BACP-registered counsellor specialising in working with queer clients, ethical non-monogamy (polyamory), kink, sexuality, and neurodivergent experiences.

Whether you’re exploring who you are, navigating relationships, or looking for a therapist who truly understands your world, you don’t have to explain yourself here.

A counsellor looking warm and inviting. Baldock, Hertfordshire.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you’ve struggled to find spaces where you feel fully seen and understood.

I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever is on your mind, at your own pace. My work is grounded in person-centred counselling, with a focus on affirming diverse identities, relationships, and neurodivergent ways of experiencing the world.

Who I Work With

I work particularly with people who are:

  • Exploring or questioning their queer / LGBTQ+ identity

  • Navigating polyamory or ethical non-monogamy (Either individually or as relationship therapy)

  • Part of or curious about kink communities

  • Wanting a therapist who understands sexuality and identity without judgement

  • Neurodivergent (e.g. autistic, ADHD) and wanting support that respects how you experience the world

You don’t need to educate me about your identity, relationships, or neurotype — I aim to offer a space where you can arrive as you are.

How I Work

My approach is person-centred, which means:

  • You lead the pace and direction of the work

  • I offer empathy, honesty, and acceptance

  • We focus on what feels most important to you

I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, respected, and not judged, especially when exploring identity, relationships, neurodivergence, and parts of yourself that may not always feel accepted elsewhere.

Why Work With Me

  • You won’t need to explain or justify queer identities, polyamory, kink, or neurodivergence

  • I offer an affirming, non-pathologising approach. You are an individual, not a condition.

  • I understand the complexities of non-traditional relationships and communication styles

  • I bring both professional training and lived awareness to my work

I also run Queer Questions Safe Space at local events, offering informal support and conversation for people exploring identity, relationships, and sexuality.

Helped me understand

You helped me understand myself and for the first time in so long, care about myself.  Thank you for it all.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you work with neurodivergent clients?
Yes. I work with autistic and ADHD clients, particularly where neurodivergence connects with identity, relationships, and communication. I understand that each individual has different needs and can adjust sessions accordingly, such as reducing eye-contact, shortening sessions or accepting emails in advance regarding what you would want to talk about.

Do you work with polyamorous relationships?
Yes. I have experience supporting people in polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous relationships. I work both with people individually, and as partners within relationships, whatever the dynamic or configuration.

What is a kink-aware therapist?
A kink-aware therapist understands kink without judgement or pathologising, creating a safe space to explore experiences openly. I understand that kink can involve a range of experiences, some sexual, some not.

Do I have to identify as LGBTQ+ to work with you?
No. I work with anyone, for a number of reasons, but I specialise in supporting queer identities, sexuality, and non-traditional relationships, as well as working with their families and loved ones.

Do you have training or experience with transgender and non-binary identities.

Yes. Not only do I have personal, lived experience with trans identities, I have training through Gendered Intelligence regarding working alongside trans, gender diverse and questioning people.

Do you offer online counselling in the UK?
Yes. I work with clients online across the UK as well as in-person locally in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire.
